High School Juniors and Seniors

The audition process for college theatre programs can be extremely intimidating, but I’m here to ease some of the stress every step of the way! I’ve been through it, so we’ll get through this together. I’m here to answer any questions you may have, such as:

• What is the difference between a B.A. and a B.F.A.?

• What does conservatory mean?

• Drama? Theatre Arts? Theatre and Performance? Theatre Studies? What’s the difference between all these majors?

• What are pre-screens?

• What can I expect from these auditions?

• How do I know where to apply?

We’ll then work together to:

• Determine what you’re looking for in a program

• Compile a list of schools that are right for you

• Find appropriate audition material

• Analyze your songs and monologues

• Dig into these pieces and make them the best they can be

Monologue and Audition Coaching

Have an audition coming up? Is your monologue feeling rusty? Do you need someone to go through your sides with you? I’m here to help! We will begin with a deep dive into the text, asking and answering questions about the character, circumstances, etc. We will then employ different acting techniques to find the truth in the piece. We can also discuss proper audition procedures and specifics of filming for submission if necessary.

Private Voice Lessons

I offer private voice to students ages 8 and up. Lessons will be focused on a mix of vocal expression, proper technique, and song analysis/interpretation.
